Liverpool hat-trick scorer Mohamed Salah applauds the fans after the final whistle during the Premier League match at Old Trafford, Manchester.

17 things we loved this weekend: Salah, Bellingham, Saliba, Ziyech…

Caught your breath yet? That was a weekend of football to remember, and not just thanks to Liverpool‘s historic 5-0 victory away to Manchester United.

After Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City treated us to some wonderful football on Friday and Saturday, there was a blockbuster Sunday, with El Clasico in Spain, Le Classique in France, Serie A’s Derby d’Italia, not to mention Ajax thrashing historic rivals PSV 5-0.

Here are 17 of our highlights from a brilliant weekend.

Mohamed Salah

What can you even say at this point?

Jude Bellingham

That price tag just keeps rising and rising.

Angel Montoro

What a way to score a last-minute equaliser.

Claudio Ranieri

The Premier League’s just that bit better with him around.

Timo Werner

Missed out on the fun against Norwich and missed the best sweets too. Greens, obviously.

Joe Gelhardt

Quite the home debut. Remember the name.

Salah-Eddine

No, not that one.

Hakim Ziyech

Stop that, Hakim.

Connor Ronan

A strike that the watching Steven Gerrard would have been proud of.

This cut

Give that editor a raise, Sky Sports.

David Alaba

What a way to mark your first Clasico.

Oliver Torres

The most satisfying volley you’ll see this weekend.

Giovanni Simeone

Four goals, Cholito? Four!? That’s insane.

William Saliba

Just as good as Merih Demiral’s on Marcus Rashford earlier this week.

Alexander Isak

At what point do we start admitting La Real are title challengers?

Tim Melia

Are watching the MLS or WWE?

Cyril Ngonge

Olivier Giroud, eat yer heart out.
