Bayern Munich’s 8 wonderkids on Football Manager 2024: Musiala, Tel…

The release of Football Manager 2024 is finally here. We’ve dived into the new database to find Bayern Munich’s wonderkids.

The German champions have an excellent track record when it comes to developing youngsters as the likes of Franz Beckenbauer, Philipp Lahm and Thomas Muller are among the players who have come through their academy ranks in the past.

After delving through FMScout, we’ve found the eight wonderkids from Bayern Munich that you should be on the lookout for.

Note: we have included players from Bayern Munich and Bayern Munich II in this list.

Ljubo Puljic

With an FM potential of 81, the Croatian defender might be worth picking up on one of your saves. Puljic is yet to make his senior debut for Bayern, but the early signs are very promising.

The 16-year-old centre-half joined Bayern this summer from Croatian outfit NK Osijek. We can’t wait to see what the future has in store for the Croatian wonderkid.

Tarek Buchmann

The 18-year-old defender is tied down with Bayern until 2026 and he currently plays for the reserve team. After spending his formative years with Augsburg, Bayern snapped the teenager up in 2019 and he’s risen through their academy ranks since.

With an FM potential of 80 on the game, Buchmann could be a useful player to pick up. The defender has already drawn comparisons to Jerome Boateng and the future looks bright for the young prospect.

“It’s a big honour for me to sign by first professional contract at FC Bayern. I know what a privilege it is to play for this club,” Buchmann said upon signing his first professional deal with the club.

“The club has always supported and promoted me in a top way. I feel great trust. At the same time, I see it as my first duty to continue working hard on myself. I want to take my chance in every training session and game in order to have a successful journey together with FC Bayern.”

Adam Aznou

Aznou has had some football upbringing to say the least. The 17-year-old spent his formative years with Barcelona and was then picked up by Bayern Munich in 2022.

Capable of playing at left-back or on the wing, Aznou ticks plenty of boxes at this early stage in his career. Aznou currently plays for Bayern Munich II and has an FM potential of 80.

Noel Aseko Nkili

The holding midfielder has an FM potential of 80 and is highly regarded in the Bayern youth ranks. Bayern splashed a reported €1million fee on the youngster to prize him away from Hertha Berlin last summer.

Nkili is yet to make his senior debut for Bayern, but it’s worth keeping a close eye on the 17-year-old midfielder over the next few years. We can’t wait to see more of him.

Javier Fernandez

The Spain U17 international was snapped up by Bayern in January 2023 after spending five years in the Atletico Madrid youth academy. Fernandez primarily plays in central midfield although he can also do a job in defensive and attacking roles.

Bayern fans will no doubt be eager to see more of Fernandez in the future and the youngster is currently tied down until 2025. He has an FM potential of 80 on the new game.

Jamal Musiala

Bayern’s starboy. Musiala is one of the brightest prospects in Europe right now and he boasts a whopping FM potential of 94. His eye for goal and technical skills around the box are incomparable to most other players that are his age.

The attacking midfielder played a vital role in Bayern’s title-winning campaign last season as he chipped in with 12 goals and 10 assists. The sky is the limit for Musiala.

Adin Licina

The 16-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed with Bayern’s U19s of late. Capable of playing through the middle or out wide, Licina has an FM potential of 82. One worth keeping your eye on.

Mathys Tel

It’s no surprise that Tel makes the cut with a lofty potential of 88 on the new game. the 18-year-old has a killer instinct in front of goal as he’s already scored six goals in just 345 minutes of football this season.

“We consider [playing him for 90 minutes] every day, but the issue is that Mathys is handling this role [off the bench] so well at the moment that we don’t want to just abandon this role either,” Thomas Tuchel told reporters.

“He can give us energy; he can score the decisive goal. It’s an extremely important role. If I let him play right from the start, I might be missing someone who can play this role with the same passion, dedication and quality. That’s why it’s a balancing act.”
