Kylian Mbappe and five other transfers already agreed for summer 2024
The final international break of 2023-24 is approaching, meaning we’re nearly approaching the stage of the season known as the ‘business end’, where the tension really ramps up and the winners and losers are decided.
But while actual football gets all the attention, agents and sporting directors are already hard at work putting plans in place for next season, while Fabrizio Romano is firing off texts at a rate of knots in the search for exclusives. Away from the football pitch, a number of agreements have already been put in place for the summer.
You know all about the headline-dominating name that’ll be lavishly unveiled at his new club in the summer, but what about the rest? Here are six moves that are reportedly set to go through this summer.
Kylian Mbappe
The Frenchman’s decision to string Real Madrid along over the years has resulted in some entertaining – or depressing, depending on your viewpoint – El Chiringuito content, but all good/bad things must come to an end.
BBC Sport are among several outlets that report that finally, mercifully, everything is in place for Mbappe to join Real Madrid in the summer. He rejected the extra year clause in his contract and is free to depart Paris.
And it sounds like the Parisiens have accepted losing their star asset.
“Sooner or later, at some point, we have to get used to playing without Kylian Mbappe,” PSG boss Luis Enrique told reporters, justifying his decision to substitute Mbappe when chasing a goal in Sunday’s 1-1 with Rennes.

Alphonso Davies
Strictly speaking, this one might not happen this summer. But expect to see the Canadian in Real Madrid’s royal white sooner or later – The Athletic are reporting that he’s “verbally agreed to join in 2024 or 2025”.
Davies is into the final 18 months of his deal with Bayern and renewal talks appear to have stalled. If the Bavarian giants can’t get him to agree a new contract, it looks likely they’ll look to cash in while he still has value.
In recent times the 23-year-old has struggled with injuries and failed to quite match the explosive heights of his breakthrough 2019-20 treble-winning campaign, but Madrid would still be getting one of the world’s best attacking full-backs if they can keep him fit.
Endrick
This one’s been in the pipeline for a very long time. Madrid officially announced the signing of the Brazilian wonderkid back in December 2022, but his Galactico destiny was an open secret long before that.
The attacker will arrive at the Bernabeu when he turns 18 in July, although recent reports from Brazil suggest that Palmeiras will push to keep him until the conclusion of their season in December.
Piotr Zielinski
The Polish playmaker wasn’t quite as flashy as Victor Osimhen or Khvicha Kvaratskhelia in Napoli’s title triumph last season, but he was arguably just as impressive and important.
Following the departure of Luciano Spalletti and the most miserable title defence of recent times, it looks as though Zielinski will be next to leave the sinking ship.
He’s a free agent in the summer and has reportedly signed a pre-contract agreement with champions-elect Inter. That’s some team Simone Inzaghi is building at the San Siro.
Lucas Bergvall
Signed, sealed, delivered. Here’s one whereby you don’t need to read between the lines of sports tabloids across Europe, consulting your spreadsheet of who’s reliable and who’s probably talking sh*te.
Tottenham announced the signing of Bergvall on deadline day. He’s been pictured with the shirt and everything, having signed a contract until 2029.
The 18-year-old will spend the rest of the season with Djurgarden, where he’s continuing to lengthen his impressive highlights reel, and will officially join up with Spurs on July 1st.
We can’t wait to see the midfielder strutting his stuff for Big Ange’s side.

Yannik Keitel
This one’s not going to get the attention of the likes of Davies and Mbappe, but it could nevertheless prove to be a canny pick-up.
Keitel was linked with a move away from his boyhood club Freiburg throughout the January transfer window. He ended up staying put, but is out of contract in the summer and is expected to leave at the end of the season.
Reports from Germany suggest that the defensive midfielder has already agreed to join Stuttgart – who look increasingly likely to qualify for the Champions League at the expense of either Borussia Dortmund or RB Leipzig.
